The chiropractors

sideimageClinic Director

Mark Kennedy, BSc DC

I came to chiropractic because of a fascination with how the body works, I am still and expect to be forever, fascinated by it.  The body is a most intricate and amazing collection of cells, approximately ten thousand trillion of them and every one of these started from a single cell that divided to become two and then divided again to become four and so on.  These cells in your body know everything about you, do everything for you and ultimately come under the conscious and unconscious control of your nervous system.  The nervous system is what makes your body work and is what chiropractors influence with every adjustment that they make.

I love to meet new patients who give me new challenges, new puzzles to work out with their presenting conditions. Some of these puzzles are straightforward and others more complex but the wonderful thing about chiropractic is that it almost always provides an answer to the question ‘what’s wrong with me?’ and a means to help.

Patients come to my clinic for many reasons, almost all of them are in pain but their motives for wanting relief from that pain vary.  Some need to get well so they can return to work so that they can earn money to support their families.  Others want to get back on the sports field.  For others it’s about simple pleasures like being able to bend down to pick up their children or grandchildren.  Whatever the reason chiropractic helps my patients get their life back from the pain.  It’s a wonderful thing.

When not at work I love to play tennis and when I eventually get my gap year have resolved to time my travels around the world to coincide with the four grand slam tournaments, visiting only as a spectator I am sad to say. Living in Bournemouth I get out regularly on my various bicycles and occasionally onto the water for a bit of  Kayaking. My wife,  two daughters and Rocco, our Italian Spinone, keep me entertained, amused and cared for .

Grant Bierling BSc. DCDSC03878

I graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1996 and have spent 14 years practising in the county of Hampshire between Ringwood and Portsmouth.

I came to the chiropractic profession when I was in need of chiropractic help back in 1987 when I found that chiropractic treatment resolved the short term mechanical problems I was suffering with due to sitting!  This attracted me to join the profession back in 1991.

My wife, three beautiful children and I live just north of Winchester in Barton Stacey and spend a lot of our time country walking and exercising our lovely cocker spaniel, Gemma.  When we are not on foot we spend our time swimming!

Francesca Wuytack MSc. (Chiro) DC

I moved from Belgium to the UK to study chiropractic after being so impressed with the care I had received for a back injury I sustained through my dancing. I graduated from the AECC with the award of highest academic performance. I’ve never regretted the decision to study Chiropractic as I absolutely love what I do, striving to deliver the highest standards of care to all my patients.

I’ve a particular interest in the care of children and pregnant mothers and in addition to doing numerous courses in the area I am also pursuing a PhD in this field. Naturally, I delight in treating adults of all ages too and have done many extra courses for the treatment of various conditions. I have also greatly enjoyed being involved in treating athletes particularly in my position as a rehabilitation supervisor at the AECC clinic.

Apart from the dancing that I can thankfully still enjoy now; in my spare time I can often be found enjoying the countryside, riding my bicycle, cooking and generally enjoying everything that Winchester has to offer!
