Or it might seem that way when our exercise therapist has finished with you. Do you go to pilates regularly? Think you have good core stability? Have good control of your breathing? Is your exercise helping you or harming you?
If you want answers to the last question you need to visit our exercise specialist Annalisa Zisman.
Annalisa is a leading authority on the treatment of back problems and a leading teacher of therapeutic massage. She has been a Health and Fitness professional for over 23 years, originally qualifying with a Diploma in Health and Fitness studies from the Raworth Centre, Dorking, in 1991. As a passionate believer in continuing personal and professional development and the holistic approach to health and well being, she has since gone on to study many different disciplines and techniques in massage and other bodywork therapies. She also works as a consultant in various capacities, all aimed at developing therapists’ skills and raising standards within the industry.
In the 1990’s she set up “Walk Tall” – an innovative group exercise programme for back sufferers – later she co-founded and was the MD for Inspire Massage Workshops: a massage school dedicated to raising standards in the industry. Until recently she was the Regional Co-ordinator for the CThA (Complimentary Therapist Association) which is one of the biggest professional bodies for the industry.
