New patients always receive a warm welcome at Winchester Sports and Spine. Most of our new patients come on recomendation from their families and friends but however you come to hear about us we are delighted to meet new patients and want your experience at Winchester Sports and Spine to be a very positive and confidence inspiring one. Rest assured that you do not need a doctors referral to seek our help although many local GP’s and midwives do send their patients to us for treatment. If you are going to use health insurance to pay for your care then check with your insurer to find out whether you need to get your GP to sign a referral form or letter.

At your first visit our priority is to find out all about you. We want to know everything about your condition and relevant details about your lifestyle. We will want to examine you thoroughly and may decide that X-rays are necessary to help us make an accurate diagnosis. We have up to the minute digital X-ray equipment here in the clinic allowing us to obtain the appropriate images immediately and unlike most clinics we do not charge an additional fee for taking them believing that if you need X-rays then there should be no financial impediment to obtaining them.

After analysing all of the information we will have our second appointment which we call a report of findings when we will discuss in detail what is causing your condition and what the best treatment solution will be. If after due consideration we believe that chiropractic care is not right for your condition then we will refer you to another appropriate specialist.

Once you have seen the path to recovery and health that we will lay out for you and have given the necessary consent, treatment usually begins at this visit.
