breathing? Is your exercise helping you or harming you?

If you want answers to the last question, if you want good core stability and if you want great breath control (you may not think you need it but you do!) you desperately need to visit our exercise specialist Annalisa Zisman.

“I am a leading authority on the treatment of back problems and a leading teacher of therapeutic massage.  I have been a Health and Fitness professional for over 23 years, originally qualifying with a Diploma in Health and Fitness studies from the Raworth Centre, Dorking, in 1991.  As a passionate believer in continuing personal and professional development and the holistic approach to health and well being, I have since gone on to study many different disciplines and techniques in massage and other bodywork therapies.  I am also a trained counsellor, qualifying with a Diploma in Person Centered Counselling from the prestigious Metanoia Institute.

I devote my time between running a very busy massage / exercise therapy practice which is my main passion as well as presenting at conferences such as CamExpo – Europe’s largest complimentary alternative medicine convention where I have enjoyed sell out presentations.  I also work as a consultant in various capacities all aimed at developing therapists and raising standards within the industry.

I previously set up “Walk Tall” – an innovative group exercise programme for back sufferers and co-founded / was the MD for Inspire Massage Workshops, a massage school dedicated to raising standards in the industry.  Until recently I was the Regional Co-ordinator for the CThA (Complimentary Therapist Association) which is one of the biggest professional bodies for the industry.

I am regarded as a natural people person, has an infectious energy and goes the extra mile for her clients.  I frequently network with trusted industry colleagues to evolve my knowledge and brainstorm ideas all aimed at delivering the best treatments possible.

Many years back I worked closely with Mark Kennedy in Kingston, Surrey so am thrilled to be working with him again here at Winchester Spine Centre.”   For more about Annalisa visit the blog
