We take great care of your personal data. We secure any paperwork containing your personal details under lock and key. Digital data is held onsite on password-protected computers.

We MUST have your consent to send you marketing information, promotions, newsletters, and clinic updates. We may NOT assume your consent, you must OPT-IN to our marketing. You may REFUSE this consent without detriment (we won’t be cross). If you choose to consent to receive marketing material from us you are free to WITHDRAW that consent at any time.

You may request information about the data we hold about you (a subject access request). We will be obliged to confirm your identity and must provide the information within 30 days at no cost to you.

We do NOT need your consent to process (handle and store) case histories, details of examination findings, and treatment records because our CONTRACT with you is to provide a service and such documentation is necessary for us to fulfill our end of the bargain. It is considered that there is a LEGITIMATE INTEREST for both you (the patient) and us (the clinic) to have an accurate record of your medical history and treatment. We also have a LEGAL OBLIGATION to retain your notes for the statutory minimum of 8 years.

We are not obliged to gain your consent to send you appointment reminders or to send you follow-up information relevant to your condition such as pain management advice or exercises as this constitutes a legitimate interest.
