We are on the move

Big news from the clinic this month. We are moving premises to Orams Arbour, behind Winchester station. After 12 years at St. Lawrence House it is time to move on to a larger building that will give me the ability to expand and diversify. We will move to the new building opening on the 1st of July 2010 and will be rebranding the clinic Winchester Sports and Spine to reflect the inclusion of some fantastic additional practitioners.I am delighted that we will be joined by  Grant Beirling, a very experienced chiropractor who has previoulsy been in practice in Southampton and Hythe. He has a keen interest in providing treatment for the whole family and is currently undergoing further training in the area of chiropractic treatment for children. He will be available at the practice on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.Catherine Summerhayes is a chartered physiotherapist and sports physiotherapist. She has a wealth of experience in the treatment of sports injuries and rehabilitation from surgery. Catherine has worked in both the NHS and private sectors having worked with elite junior tennis players at one of the country's leading tennis accademies and at the Olympic games in Athens 2004 working at the Hockey venue. Catherine also lectures to the students on the sports therapy undergraduate programme at the University of Chichester. She will be available at the clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.Matt Barker is a massage therapist specialising in sports massage. Having been a recipient of his work I can personnally vouch for his ability to 'hit the spot'. I know that Matt's skills will be invaluable to many of you who need additional soft tissue work to complement your chiropractic care. Matt will be available several evenings each week.I hope also to introduce an accupuncturist and possibly a podiatrist to our team of practitioners enabling us to provide the best possible care to the back pain, neck pain and sports injury suffering  inhabitants of Winchester.I look forward to welcoming you to my exciting new practice after the 1st of July. All patients will be receiving a letter and gift voucher through the post in the next week or so giving directions and a map. Do come and visit us when we move and tell everyone you know about this exciting new facility for the treatment of back pain in winchester.Mark Kennedy
