Winchester Podiatrist at the House of Lords

As a member of the local branch of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, of which I have been an active member since 2007, House of lordsI was recently honoured to be elected, with another colleague, to attend the Society's annual Awards ceremony. This event took place in the House of Lords. Drinks were served in the Cholmondeley Room and the lunch took place in the Terrace.To present the Awards was The Rt Hon The Lord Morris of Manchester AO QSO. Lord Morris was responsible for taking healthcare into the home for disabled and house bound people.In the picture: Left to right: Rosa Morato, podiatrist in Winchester. Next to me Mr Alistair McInnes, expert in diabetic foot conditions, he received the Diamond award for his oustanding contribution in the care of the diabetic foot, nationally and inernationally. Next to him is Dr Alan Borthwick , who received the Society's Meritorious Award for services to the profession in October 2008. Finally Mrs Hilary Nossiter, Chair of the South East Region Comitee.It was an honour to be invited to this event.
